Abu Dhabi Global Health Week is off to a great start. The U.A.E. continues to develop its healthcare delivery infrastructure and has started on a path to being an epicenter in Life Sciences by collaborating with firms of all sizes as well as developing home grown enterprises.

The week started with a country brief and opening reception. One of today's panel sessions focused on building partnerships and highlighted the strategic priorities across the Emirates. The speakers included Dr. Fayeza Saif Alyafei, Executive Director of Health Quality for the Department of Health, Mark Petre, COO for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Aret Ali Abdula Al Shehhi, CEO for The Medical Office and Dr. Ravi Trehan, Dean of Research for Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City.

The U.A.E. is continuously in a state of transformation and this moment in its history seems particularly vibrant. I look forward to engaging with the leaders who are designing the future here and across the region.
